Para Wings Coin
History:
All Australian SASR qualified personnel are trained parachutists and the wings denoting this military speciality are those designed by Lieutenant John Steel 'Jock' Lewes a founding member of the British SAS in World War II.
The design is based on the stylised sacred Ibis wings of the goddess Isis of Egyptian iconography. Now commonly known as ‘Fast Wings’ aligned to being an upside down shape.
A unique challenge coin to sit with any collection.

Para wings coin is well designed and constructed, being the actual shape is important to me with no extra material added. Having both sides stamped and coloured could be said is not necessary and would have added to the cost, but it is without doubt an excellent coin to have.
Smart product reflecting the actual material wings, spoilt by postage costs - although inevitable.
