The name NINE SIX FOUR is a nod to a defining moment in Australian military history - 4 September 1964, the date the revered 1st Special Air Service Company was expanded and officially renamed the Australian Special Air Service Regiment (SASR). But we stand for more than just the date.
We represent the entire history and legacy of the Australian SAS - from its earliest origins and missions to the present day. The name NINE SIX FOUR is a tribute to the courage, commitment, and elite standards of all who have served in Australia’s Special Air Service, past and present.
Founded by the SAS Historical Foundation, NINE SIX FOUR is the only brand authorised and endorsed by the Regiment to produce and sell official SASR memorabilia and apparel to the public. Our mission is to honour the Regiment’s legacy through high-quality, meaningful products - while directly supporting the preservation of its history.
Whether it's a challenge coin, t-shirt, artwork, or limited-edition piece, every item is designed with care, crafted for collectors and supporters, and 100% Regiment-approved.
Our brand is a mission-backed venture, with ALL proceeds directly supporting the SAS Historical Collection, safeguarding the historical Collection and gallery on base for future generations.
We pack and ship from Campbell Barracks in Western Australia, with a small team of on-base volunteers, many who are ex-serving Regiment personnel. To keep things simple and affordable, we only ship twice a week.
Civilians are welcome to wear and collect NINE SIX FOUR gear - no service background required. Supporting the Regiment doesn’t mean claiming to be part of it; it means recognising the extraordinary contributions of those who are. Our gear is worn with pride by current and former members, families, mates, and anyone who wants to help keep the Regiment’s legacy alive.
