Borneo 60th Anniversary Challenge Coin – Limited to 200

Handcrafted in Western Australia from solid pewter, this limited-edition challenge coin commemorates the 60th anniversary of SASR operations in Borneo - the Regiment’s first operational deployment in 1965.

In early 1965, 1 SAS Squadron deployed to the dense jungles of Borneo, conducting demanding cross-border reconnaissance missions during the Indonesia-Malaysia Confrontation. Operating in harsh terrain with minimal support, SAS patrols relied on intense training and fieldcraft to gather intelligence, support local populations, and disrupt enemy operations deep within Kalimantan territory.

This coin honours those early warriors, whose quiet professionalism and unshakable resolve laid the foundation for decades of Regiment service to follow. Each coin features a raised SASR Borneo Patrol member and commemorates the 60^th Anniversary of the Regiments first operational deployment, reflecting both history and heritage.
