'Ascension'
A very special release, 100 numbered prints of the painting 'Ascension' - painted by the renowned artist and cartoonist, Paul Rigby.
It depicts a rugby lineout - a moment in the game where players lift a teammate high into the air to catch or contest the ball. The painting captures the intensity, teamwork, and physical struggle of the sport in a stylized, almost heroic way. The sepia-toned palette and loose brushwork give it a vintage, energetic feel, suggesting both motion and camaraderie among the players.
It has been suggested that Rigby painted this piece after an Officers/Sergeant's V Diggers Rugby match at Campbell Barracks in early 2000 and this print has never been released to the public.
