Commemorating 25 years since the beginning of Australia's involvement in Afghanistan, this limited-edition challenge coin honours the service and sacrifice of Australian Special Operations Task Group (SOTG) personnel throughout the conflict.

From the SASR's initial deployment in 2001 to subsequent special operations missions, Australian special forces played a significant role in Australia's longest war.

Reverse | Who Dares Wins

Features the SASR winged dagger insignia against a distressed Australian flag, with the Regiment's motto WHO DARES WINS.

Along the lower edge, five red remembrance poppies honour the five SASR members who lost their lives during the Afghanistan conflict.
